Easter Activities

It is officially April which means the days are getting brighter and Easter is on its way. Let’s fill our time with fun activities the whole family can take part in. Here are a few of our favourites, each of these are a huge hit in our Spring settings and we hope you have as much fun doing them as we do.

  • Potato Stamping

As simple as it sounds. Do you have a bag of potatoes just laying around? Chop your potato in half, carve some designs into the flattened end and off you go. These stamps will look like Easter eggs and can be hung up as decorations once dried.

  • Toilet Roll Crafts

There are lots of fun activities to be done using a simple empty toilet roll and some paper. Handmade bunnies, Easter egg baskets or even a binocular for your Easter egg hunt.  Do not forget to recycle them once you are done.

  • Easter Cards

Don’t spend extra money this Easter on store bought cards, give the personal touch and get your little ones to design and create their own cards for friends and family.

  • Spring/Easter Bingo

A classic game with an Easter twist. How many Easter themed squares can you fill? Why not have some Easter prizes for the winner. A great game for all the family.

  • Seed Planting

Do you have a garden? Why not plant some seeds this Easter, a great activity that will brighten up your outdoor spaces while also being kind to our planet.

  • Finger Paints

Cut out some Easter Egg shapes and get your little one to decorate them by painting with their fingers. Don’t like mess? No problem, a less messy option is to squirt blobs of paint onto the paper cover in cling film and let the children explore the texture of moving the pattern under the cling film.

  • Explore Your Local Environment

With Spring comes lots of changing environments. Take a walk and discover what’s changing with your little one. What can they spot? Why not collect fallen twigs to take home and make your own nest?
