Memorable Visit: Action for Children’s CEO Paul visits Spring Nurseries

Recently Action for Children’s CEO, Paul Carberry, took some time to visit two of our Spring Nurseries, Leam Lane and Blaydon in Gateshead. Paul’s visit began at Leam lane where he was warmly welcomed by staff and children. During his visit, Paul engaged in meaningful discussions with our staff about Spring Nurseries curriculum, their passion for supplying a nurturing environment that promotes learning through play, creativity and exploration and highlighted how Spring’s curriculum is tailored to meet the diverse needs of every child in their care.

After his visit at Leam Lane, Paul made his way to Blaydon. There, he was greeted with the same warmth and enthusiasm. The staff at Blaydon shared their success stories and the positive impact their approach has had on all the children within their care. Paul was delighted to see first-hand how the nursery fosters a sense of belonging and gives children a home from home while they are at Nursery.

During both visits Paul also spent time interacting with the children, joining in their activities and witnessing the joyful and inquisitive atmosphere that the teams have created. Paul observed art projects and participated in a storytelling session, bringing smiles to the faces of the little ones. His presence not only delighted the children but also reinforced the importance of leadership engagement in supporting our early years settings.

We spoke with Paul about his visit and here is what he had to say:

“I recently visited Spring Leam Lane and Blaydon and was impressed with the caring, dedicated, and experienced staff we have. I was proud to see first-hand how we care for our children and the excellent curriculum we provide for them. I absolutely loved the visit.”

Paul’s visit to Spring was a powerful reminder of the impact that dedicated leaders can have on early years education. By listening to staff, supporting ideas and sharing a vision for the future, Paul not only uplifted our teams but reinforced the essential role that Action for Children plays in transforming the lives of Children across the UK.
