Senior Nursery Manager

Develop, oversee and manage high quality, child centred provision of early years’ education and day care services for children aged from birth to five years through the management of Nursery Managers in a cluster, in line with the agreed business plan (i.e. marketing, advertising, reputation management) and financial provisions.

Nursery Manager

Develop, oversee and manage high quality, child centred provision of early years’ education and day care services for children aged from birth to five years and to actively engage in marketing and advertising in order to develop an excellent reputation and adhere to the ethos of Action for Children and ensure financially sustainability of the setting and provision.

Deputy Nursery Manager

To act as a role model for Senior Nursery Staff, demonstrating a high level of performance to provide a high standard of childcare and education for children aged from birth to 5 years. Assumes direct responsibility for the nursery setting in the absence of the Nursery Manager and is “2nd in command” at all other times, providing consistent leadership to the nursery team. Assumes responsibility for adherence to policy and procedure to provide a safe and caring environment to enable the emotional, social and educational development of children.

Senior Practitioner

Responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating a curriculum appropriate to the age group and individual needs of the child, ensuring room layout and organisation supports these aims and meets the requirements set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage

Early Years Practitioner / Assistant

Responsible for assuming the role of a key person to a group of children and work in partnership with parents/carers, catering for all children’s individual needs; observing, planning and evaluating development activities; keeping accurate records and maintaining regular contact and communication with parents

Cook

To oversee, plan, order and prepare meals for service users, ensuring that hygiene standards are adhered to and to work alongside other staff / volunteers.

Cleaner

To undertake tasks that lead to a clean, safe, secure and healthy workplace or service area.

OUT OF SCHOOL CLUB ROLES

Play Leader

To lead an effective Out of School Club team delivering a flexible, high quality, education and care centred service before and after school (typically 25 hours per week) and during school holidays (typically 40 hours per week) that meets the needs of children 4-12 years of age and their families and the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Play Worker Level 1 / 2

To work as an effective member of the Out of School Club team delivering a flexible, high quality, education and care centred service before and after school (25 hours per week) and during school holidays (40 hours per week) that meets the needs of children 4-12 years of age and their families and the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
