Based from Carrick Knowe Primary School in the north west of the city of Edinburgh, Spring Oscars @ Carrick Knowe provides breakfast and after school care during term together with a full day activity programme during school holidays. Spring Oscars @ Carrick Knowe is based from the rear of the school grounds and enjoys direct access to the playing field, playground and woodland area.
During term time, the breakfast and after school club accommodate up to 40 children from Carrick Knowe Primary School in classes primary 1 up to primary 7. During school holiday periods, Spring Oscars @ Carrick Knowe welcomes children of primary school age up to s2 high school from other local schools and surrounding areas.
The breakfast club is open from 0730hrs each morning, where our staff team are on hand to welcome parents as they drop their children off. Children enjoy a healthy, nutritious breakfast in a safe, welcoming and sociable environment where they can also access a wide range of toys, games and resources to play with friends before the start of their school day.
Our staff will ensure the children are prepared and ready to start school on time each morning. Our staff do not leave the playground until all children are safely in the care of their class teacher. The after school club is open until 1800hrs each day. Our staff collect children from school at the end of their day before making the short walk to our after school club base. There, the children enjoy a healthy, nutritious snack each day before participating in a wide range of activities and play experiences, both indoors and outdoors. Staff and children work in partnership to care for their club and often undertake garden projects together. Spring Oscars @ Carrick Knowe are fortunate to have access to wonderful outdoor play spaces and the children love the freedom to explore and play together.
