Located in the north east of the city of Edinburgh, Spring Oscars @ St. John’s is based from the dining hall within the newly built St. John’s RC Primary School. Registered with the Care Inspectorate to provide out of school care for up to 40 children during each session, Spring Oscars @ St. John’s is open throughout term time and also school holidays.
During term time, the breakfast and after school club is open to children attending St. John’s RC Primary School. However, during school holidays, children can attend from other local schools and surrounding areas.
Our holiday clubs are open from 0800-1800hrs and include a wide range of activities, theme days and special visits.
The breakfast club is open from 0730hrs each morning during term time and offers a safe, welcoming and sociable environment for children to start their school day. Providing a healthy and nutritious breakfast, our staff sit with the children to make it an enjoyable, fun and social occasion each morning. Children also enjoy our range of toys and resources to enjoy some play time with their friends before school. Our staff ensure children are ready to start their school day, arriving in the care of their class teacher safely and on time each morning. The after school club is open until 1800hrs each day during term time.
Our staff team are on hand to collect the younger children (p1 – p3) from their classroom’s while older children make their way to the club where they are welcomed by a member of staff. Staff and children work in collaboration to plan and evaluate activities, ensuring positive play experiences and opportunities. We enjoy the use of some fantastic outdoor play spaces at St. John’s RC Primary School, particularly the playground, trim trail and 3g astro turf pitch. Our staff team are on hand each evening to offer feedback to parents and answer any queries they may have.
